When you think what a total thug and pr*ck Robbie Savage was a soccer player, it's incredible how the BBC have embraced him and - through Strictly especially - transformed him into almost a national treasure already. I even saw Joey Barton guesting on Football Focus recently. The Beeb must assume volatile means characterful and unmissable. What do you reckon?

He was a thug and prick as a football player...or also off the pitch, at all times?
Don't remember him being a "thug" when he played for Leicester City.
Yeah, he was always being sent off, wasn't he? Well, twice at least...
Don't know about his footballing ability but he did a credible Del Boy/medallion man appearance on Strictly. Stuck in the 80's or was it the 70's. I don't particularly like him and I can't see where he would fit in on TV somehow.
Yeah-just the bloke you'd love in your team-if ,like me,you support Brighton !
he's cute though lovely eyes, lovely teeth and as for the hair I see a l'oreal ad in his future.... and there have been nastier players with worse disciplinary records
