Citroen Saxo Air Bag warning Light

Hi

I have just bought a Saxo second hand and the airbag warning light stays on when then engine is switched on. I do not have the owner manual. Can anybody tell me what that is indicating?

I also have a Saxo. The airbag warning light usually stays on for 6 seconds when the engine is switched on. If the light is staying on longer than this then there must be a fault with the airbag and you should have it seen to by a Citroen dealer.

I bought a saxo with this problem, very common!

on mine it was something to do with the wires underneath the drivers seat, and it needed reseting, don't know how much it costs though if thats what yours is, got the garage to do mine for me :)

 on some cars the srs connector can become lose especially if someone moves the seat forward or back.check the connection under the seat that goes to the seat belt

i have had this problem and it is a common problem in saxos, basically (as the others have said) it is a faulty connection. This is underneath your seat and in my car it has like a big brown plastic block connecting the 2 wires, firstly just push the 2 wires together and see whether that does anything, if not then you can just cut the block away and solder the 2 wires together. When it happened to mine it was just simply that the connectoirs needed pushing together again but a citroen mechanic told me about this problem. he also said that it would cost �40 if i wanted them to do it for me, so if you dont feel comfortable doing it then you could always get it done for that kind of money. hope this helps.
