I need to order some heating oil, probably a 1000 litres - is there a difference in price per litre between 500l and 1000l? Whats going on with the price of oil at the moment - is it better than it has been? is it expected to rise? what price has other ppl paid recently?

There is a difference in price between 500-1000, 500 slightly dearer of course.
Suggest you ask the supplier but it is my experience that there is very often a price break that occurs at 1000 litres exactly. That is certainly true of BoilerJuice website which is where I go for reference price info. The current price for non-express delivery (that now means 5 Janurary) is 60.8p per litre though it will vary across the country by up to 2p because of delivery distance differences.
I had thought the price would settle a bit at the end of the Libya camapaign but the b******ds who trade are managing to hold the price up.
