couldnt find any, will salad onions do? Are they the same thing?

oh thank god. Was looking for spring onions round waitrose for ages lol
I used to buy spring onions, but now i prefer little salad ones all finely sliced.

Scallions are another name for spring onions/salad onions. That's what they're called in Ireland :-)

I once enjoyed spring onions but recently they have become very tough, stringy, and very strong tasting, also at nearly £1 per bunch they do not come cheap.

Do others agree?
Tesco Salad Onions 70p. Asda Spring onions 70p. Aldi Spring Onions - were 59p, now 39p.
