aaah I'm so looking forward to my Christmas dinner now! My pud's not one of my faves, lil chocolate cakes with custard, but people mentioning crumbles, banoffees and cheesecakes on here have got me reet jealous!! I'll just load up on the actual dinner though!
I'll be having a pavlova at the lasses on boxing day, which will be nice!
i got a free triple choc belgian bombe this morning

get in!
It's only once a year MissN lol... And I use the low fat stuff where I can... Not that it really makes a difference! Haha :-)

Love your avatar btw... I've been wondering who it belonged to after seeing it on the Christmas card :-)
I cant manage anything heavy and I do despise christmas pudding so I may have some ice cream or a couple of after 8's and a cup of tea.
Lol erin thanks. You have a most excellent avatar yourself, containing 2 of my favourite men on the planet.

*Goes off singing skin and bones, skin and bones....................
Erin don't use the low fat stuff! If you're gona do it you may as well go all out :)
no christmas pud for me i hate the stuff with a passion, mr f will have a mini one though as he loves them. probably wont have room but may just have some cheese as we got a nice one with apricot and amaretto inx
Nothing on Christmas Day. I think the beef wellington will be filling enough.

I have been asked to make the trifle on Boxing Day.

I will substitute Christmas Day pud with a dearth of Continental cheeses and biscuits on Christmas night.
A chocolate and ginger mousse with pears poached in perry that is flavoured with star anise and maybe a bit of cinnamon and a jelly made from the poaching liquor.

And same again on Boxing day.
I love Xmas pud.....trifle is for Boxing Day.
I sometimes have Xmas pud during the year, and also have pancakes quite a lot, as I cannot understand that if you enjoy something you only eat it at 'specified' times.
a "dearth" of cheese - what does that mean? None at all?

Here there will be pud (as well as the cheese before the dessert), but also a homemade Pavlova on the table too. Doesn't last long
Pavlova or Apple and Blackberry Crumble, with cream or icecream!

No Christmas Pud or Christmas Cake in our house - Yuk!!!

(No Turkey either - It will be Rib of Beef with Yorkshire Pudding)
Daughter is making Sherry Trifle and I'm making Chocolate truffle torte. Among the other goodies on offer will be my world famous (well it is in our house) orange jelly, light fruit Christmas cake and frangipane mince pies
I quite like Christmas pud but for some reason we never have it at home!

Mmm, pavlova...I haven't made one in ages. I also like making a meringue roulade, which I haven't made in ages. Both are much easier and quicker than my poncy (but requested by Mr Cake) mousse/pear/jelly concoction :-(
