Young Victoria

Did you watch 'Young Victoria' last night, and what are your thoughts about it?

I thought it very interesting and enjoyable, so much so that I think it would make a very good TV series, 'The Life and Times of Queen Victoria'.

I enjoyed this film.I have built up quite a collection of historical films on dvd/blueray but this is not amongst my favourites and cannot be copaired to the 2 Elizabeth 1 films with Cate Blanchette. Lady Jane Grey is another very good film.

Did you know that Princess Beatrice is in it. I spotted her right at the beginning as a lady in waiting, although she is not credited.

Goggle eyes is only in the film cos Fergie was a producer or something. Blink and you would miss her. A lot of her appearances in the film were edited out apparently, wonder why ?

I've watched this film many times as I love Emily Blunt's performance and the on screen chemistry with Rupet Friend. I'm not sure how historically correct it is but it has encouraged me to find out more.

I think it's quite cruel to refer to Beatrice as 'goggle eyes'...........
