hot places in may?short flight possible??

we thinking of going on hols in may next year,i am pregnant and will be too far gone to fly later than end of may/early june,we want it hot,shortish flight and obviously well set up in case anything ever happened!!hubby wants to go malta,but as that is 3hour 30 flight we might aswell go canaries? we like portugal but can get breezy and i'm always cold!!haha,we also have a nearly 4 year old aswell.any advice appreciated thanks.x

I did notice one thing, everyone is giving her advice on flight lengths, but we dont know where she os flying from, Bristol to Tenrife.. about 4hrs, Edinburgh or Glasgow to Tenerife 5hrs ?.

As a Menorca beach expert (ie Balearics) I totally disagree on this suggestion as 'hot' in May. What do you mean by you want it hot? I've been to Menorca in mid-May and it was lovely and sunny and about 23 most days but nowhere near warm enough to swim in the sea.

ill be flying from manchester/leeds, i know im not going to get anywhere hot,hot,hot,we have also been to majorca early may and has been 20's, thats why hubby suggested malta but will this be much warmer?? oh i might just book a last minute,( with heated pools),or with the freaky weather we have here it'll probably be 25 degrees in this country in April!!

Canaries flights are 4 hours from Gatwick - Malta took us only 3. I'd opt for Menorca which is nearer still. Make sure your travel insurance is ok for you flying at seven months...

Malta is further south than the Balearics, so yes, it's hotter, it's just off the North African coast. We love the island, but it IS hot.

could you reccommend any areas or hotels boxtops?we like walking and days out so dont mind getting buses etc,but still close to shops,restaurants etc.many hotels i've found dont seem very child friendly...
