What is good fish to put in fish pie?

I love fish pie! It reminds me of school (but in a good way :-) )

Any kind of white fish is good like cod or haddock. Maybe a couple of prawns chucked in for good measure if you're a shellfish fan. You could even chuck in some muscles as well. With a creamy sauce and loads of mash on top!!! yum!

Use some smoked haddock as well - really adds a bit of oomph!

Haddock and/or Cod, one of them smoked. Avoid oily fish like mackerel. And never pollock.

A mixture of smoked haddock, salmon and some prawns. Mix in some grated cheddar in the mashed potato on top, and then another sprinkling of grated cheddar on top to make it lovely and crispy brown in the oven.

Hi we always us cod, haddock smoked salmon and prowns for the fish, cheese and onion, a leek sauce and mash potatoes on top. its delicious especially if you make extra leek sauce and pour it over the pie. Yum Yum
