Pensions, Care Homes, Bed Blocking

Just as a passing thought, how soon before politicians worldwide, decide that as the human body is only designed for a normal lifespan of some 50 years they can solve at a stroke, (no pun intended) the problems of pensions and maybe even dementia in later life.
By the simple universal decision that life on this earth for humans will be
limited to fifty years and, on the fiftieth birthday the persons life is
terminated?
With no exemptions for politicians/billionaires/royalty. hmmm?

Eddie51 neither the children nor grandchildren are very kindly disposed toward the idea, it's just a thought as the population appears to be exceeding the available world resources. Maybe they will just follow the Chinese idea of one child per family until resource and population equate? B.

Since when is a 'normal' lifespan 50 years....where does that number come from? Old age is not limited, or new to, the current century,you know.

Well, I am not ready to be bumped off yet and I am 62! People of my age used to be seen as really old, but now we are not. We mostly still work, look after grandchildren etc. So, I can't see anything like this happening!

Perhaps we should all go the way of Zimbabwe . The 84 year old dictator Mugube has succeded in reducing the average life expectancy in his country to 38 , the lowest in the world!
