Me and a mate are thinking of going on holiday for a week or so but cant think where to go. We are both married and muslim so don't want any partying resorts or anywhere renowned for being 'pick up' places. We aren't bothered about beaches and arent too bothered about the weather though i dont mean the north pole, so long as its anywhere between nice and scorching we arent fussy. We would like somewhere nice with things to see, places to visit etc. We would prefer somewhere that has a good muslim population as that would be more relaxing for both of us. Iraq and Iran are out as I've plans in the pipeline to visit them in the near future and would rather have my first visit there with my husband.
I've put this here rather than in travel cos from what im told hardly anyone looks in there lol

Tunis itself, with the Bardo museum and the Souk, is a cracking good place -- Sidi Bou Said is the lovely little resort at the end of the train line that runs past ancient Carthage - then there Monastir and Sousse and some very holy mosques.
