Crimewatch - majority of suspects are foreign

Has anyone noticed this when they are going through the most wanted? Just a thought. Conclusion is less immigration would mean less crime. No doubt I will be shouted down by all those with their heads buried firmly in the sand.

>>everyone knows that most immagrants are coached into sponging more housing ben etc off governent and anyone who says different is in denial.<<
Im not in denial!! I have worked with Indian, Philipino and now mostly Romanian workers. They are totally oblivious to to any of our social funding and Social Security benefits, I know this because I have helped them with these types of claims etc and they have been amazed that this country is so generous. These were genuine people with genuine difficulties. We only employ these foreign workers because we cant get English workers to do the same job as reliably and with such commitment.

I'm of the same viewpoint as RATTER and redhellen. I work for a homeless charity...as a cook..so I am not directly involved or knowledgeable about the ins and outs of what eastern eupean immigrants are eligible for. But-I ve been told by our project workers who assist in those matter that *nothing*is "handed to them on a plate"-no £1,000's as the DM and other newspapers would have us assume....it's actually quite difficult to get them anything. And-if they do not qualify-they are shipped out pretty quickly.
Yet...many of them make more of an attempt to do something for themselves than their British counterparts. Unfortunately-successes are few and far between in this business...but our most recent was a young Polish lad who got permanent work and housing, and another-Lithuanian I think who sells the Big Issue. Others-like so many UK citizens-will themselves struggling to survive.
Crime... well if you couldn't get any help or benefits-maybe you too would resort to crime.
