Happy New Year to all of you and well done to everyone!!
I will be making no mention of how everyone may have slipped up over the festive season (including myself) but, instead, can anyone think of one positive thing about January to help us get over one of the most difficult months of the year.

Thanks for the welcome folks, will certainly be visiting on a regular basis. Everyone seems very positive and it's great to have support.

Well done Xstitcher and all the best for tomorrow. I am up nearly 1 lb. No surprise there . No excuse but chinese was not open due to there new year so up my friends we had a Pizza delivery instead. Also when I went Asda this packet of iced ring doughnuts jumped out at me . I always stress if you don't buy it you can't eat it .Well blame the devil. Got to be good as it is my grandson's birthday at weekend and I have bought a football cake. Oh dear.
Well done xstitcher and hope you get on ok. Stayed the same this week which I am fed up about as although I had a weekend away at my sister's thought I had been good. If I'm honest I think the portion control got a little bit confused this week as I did feel a bit bloated so it's back to the drawing board. Better news next week I hope.
This is the first time I have visited this board so not sure how it works. Anyway, weight has been creeping up for some time so decided to join WW to see if I could shift it. Followed the plan to the letter for my first week and had a weigh in last night. Couldn't believe I'd lost 7.5 lbs. Know this will slow down but feeling pretty chuffed today.
Welcome Maggiebee and well done this posts has been going for nearly 2 years which was originally started by Xstitcher then the Ed gave us new postings monthly. We just try to help one another with ideas. Keep a diary of what you eat daily this helps to plan your next weeks shopping. Onwards and Downwards for next week.
Good Morning All, I shall begin with the bad news and carry on with the excuses....I'm up 1½ pounds but because of the eye operation can't carry out my exercises for two weeks. I think that is valid. Also because of the operation I can't doing my xstitching and am bored and am eating between meals.......not valid.....naughty step for me..

Well it's been an eventful fortnight. Last week an unexplained jump between Tuesday and Wednesday suggested I'd gone up 2⅝ lbs in just 24 hours. It didn't immediately disappear next day either even if it was down. Not sure what to make of it all.
Anyway according to the figures it is 2⅝ lbs down on the week, but ¾ lbs up over the fortnight. Maybe I should weigh just one per month.

Well done Jan. OG I can't understand your weigh system only thing I can say is I am glad my scales are not like that. Think I would be in riddles with them but you seem to understand them.. My excuse is that it is not so easy to diet in this cold weather but I do try and not indulge apart from grandsons birthday cake on Sunday and a family sunday dinner . Must get off that naughty step for next week. Xstitcher I understand your problem it is not easy but just hang in there you will rectify it when your eyes are ok.
