Could resetting Winsock cause problems?
Win7 on a Toshiba laptop.
Was getting ‘Desktop refers to a location that’s unavailable’, OK after reboot. Seems may be caused by always logging on as Administrator, so changed my login to standard and set up a separate admin user.
Now have had ‘Win cannot connect to the ‘System Event Notification Server’. Again OK after a reboot but a possible solution is to reset Winsock.
Am happy to do this (may even fix my connection issues) however, just wanted some reassurance this won’t cause further problems.
