I have a Calydra C & M combi boiler. It seems to have a mind of it's own ! When I put the heat on I am more likely to get hot water than heat or maybe neither. I have figered out that this is not a good boiler, but other than spend £1500 on a new boiler, what do I do?

Sadly, that's a bit vague, Lich. There are so many possibilities.
Perhaps the valve that switches between HW and CH
Printed circuit Board
Even a cheap little thermistor somewhere.

A heating engineer would have to be there to try a few things out. He would also give you an opinion as to whether it's worth repairing.

Thank You to The Builder, Jomifl wasn't very helpful though. Does he have a degree in the bleeding obvious ?
Lacking any useful clues in your post I made the most helpful comment that I could, however if you could supply more information then I would be quite happy to help, though as TB is on the case my help would probably be redundant;-)
