I believe there is a link between Emma Cracroft who was born in Keal, Lincolnshire in 1823, and Etty Cracroft born in 1868 in Hull, Yorkshire.
I have made an extensive search over a long period, with no success. If anyone is interested, and could spare the time, I would be immensely grateful. Emma married George Benjamin Austen Lefroy, who was the great nephew of Jane Austen, and I would be delighted if a link can be found with my heroine.

It looks like Emma was actually born in 1821, if it's the same one, as an Emma Cracroft was christened at West Keal on 16 Sep 1821............father was Thomas Robert Cracroft, mother was Isabella.

I'm struggling...............Emma's father Thomas Robert was from West Keal, he was christened there on 2 Oct 1776, he married Isabella Franklin on 13 Oct 1814 at Mavis Enderby, Lincoln, and he was buried in West Keal on 14 July 1824.
Etty's ancestors are from Lincolnshire but appear to be from the Gainsborough area, her grandfather James Cracroft was christened at All Saints, Gainsborough on 12 Dec 1795, and his parents were Thomas and Phoebe.

No sorry I've got back to ancestors born in 1773 for Etty and 1776 for Emma and I can't find any connection.

Thomas Robert's parents were Thomas and Elizabeth, and Etty's great-grandparents were Thomas and Phoebe.

Craft,I am grateful for your interest and help. Most of my information is obtained from the Cracroft family tree, which is dated back to the 13th century....there are 25 pages of it. There are several branches of the family, the Hull and Gainsborough ones being most interesting to me, as I am the granddaughter of Etty. Emma's birth date is on the Ancestry website.
I have looked at, and printed, some of the work done by Ronald Dunning, who seems to have done a mind boggling amount of research on Jane's family, but I think it would take forever to check it all. Thank you anyway...it looks as though I may have to give up, as I did on my 4xgreat grandfather!
