You can get these cheap from the supermarket freezer section (coley is cheaper and just as good in a pie) Defrost it thoroughly. Then cook it by putting it in the microwave for a few minutes. Heat a dozen large prawns, a can of campbells condensed mushroom soup (do not add any water as you need it thick to use as a sauce) and some chopped parsley gently in a saucepan to warm them through. Break the fish into large pieces and fold into the mix (so you don't break it up too much) Cook some potatoes and mash them up with milk, butter and bit of black pepper. Place the mash on top of the fish mix and place the pie in the oven for 40 minutes!
Yummy and easy!!!
Take a half pound of white fish (cod haddock etc) and a half pound of smoked white fish, simmer gently in a 1/4 pint of milk for 5 minutes, remove fish and flake it into an oven proof dish, removing any bones and skin. Make a basic white sauce using the milk from the fish and add some cheese (cheddar is probably best) add some parsley and black pepper and pour over the fish. Mash a pound and a half of potatoes and spread over the fish and sauce (like you would for shepherds pie) sprinkle with cheese and bake in a hot oven until golden brown. serve with fresh crusty bread, peas and a bottle of white plonk!
bon Appetite
