Anne, they rarely spit at humans, they spit at each other only in defence.
They really are delightful creature. We are also looking into developing an exotic fibre farm and producing fibre from our own animals such as mohair, angora from rabbits and goats and of course from alpacas, and then carding, spinning and knitting it into luxury goods. We still have a lot of planning and research to do but we hope to be in North Wales by the end of this year or the beginning of next year. Fingers crossed :)
