White food?
42 Answers
My grandson, Mason, who is three is coming to stay for the weekend, however he is going through a phase of only eating 'white' food. I do pasta with White sauce and rice, potatoes, fish, cauliflower. Anyone got any more suggestions please. Thanks in advance.

how about helping him cook your tea/ dinner?
Get out the ingredients for your dinner and let him chop, fry, etc etc
Make it as colourful as you can - peas, carrots, broccoli
Let him help you with filling pans of water, chopping carrots, putting it onto the water to boil up
Have it with chicken or pork as he does eat that and perhaps cheese sauce instead of...

Why are you even pandering to this? Someone has really started something here! I have never in all of my 56 years heard anything so weird. You make it sound like it is a phase every child goes through! Trust me, it is not and I would put a stop to it as soon as possible. By not doing so, you are setting the child up for BIG problems when he gets older. You are endorsing the behaviour as being normal, for a child of any age, that is not. If you want the child to have a very strange relationship with food for the rest of its life, carry on!
Have to agree with scraggy and others who know that this shouldn't be encouraged. We never heard of such things years ago, if you didn't eat then you went hungry and the next meal you sure a heck made a bee-line for it. We didn't eat in between meals either so we had to have a meal...we had treats of course but nothing like they get now and definitely no pandering to children who demand things that are certainly out of the norm.
