Passport q
Hi,
I have phoned the passport office and the 'call centre' bloke didn't know and couldn't get hold of a supervisor so thought \i would ask here in case anyone knew the answer :)
A couple from Jeresy had a baby (in Jersey) and because the baby was seriously ill was flown the same day over to the uk. When they eventually fly back does the baby need a passport of it's own or can he travel on his parents?
Thank you

Children under 16 require their own passport which is for 5 years, they will not be included on their parents passport as this would have expired by 2008, as before 1998 children could be included on parents passports.

What's the airline?
If it's Flybe they do not require a passport but do require to see the birth certificate if the infant is under one year old - or for a seat to be purchased for him. Only under 1s are allowed to travel on the parent's lap.
For 2 to 15 year olds the adult's word is sufficient
So in this case provided the child has a seat - no passport or ID.
