Would you use it, or could we run away from the intrusion? As Vodafone will be running the service post Olympics - could we afford it, as I suspect that it'll be purely on a subscription basis?

It'll bring the muggers out, what with the thought of all them iPhones and iPads out on peoples laps. In answer to your question, if it was free, maybe, definitely won't pay for it.

But would we get muggers on iPad being broadcast to station entrances - hence new offence - flash mugging on tube. It'd be cheaper than the TV currently, and have larger audience rating on You Tube..
Re: muggers - when I'm on the tube, all I can see is a sea of iPhones, iPads, Kindles and Amazon phones. The introduction of Wifi on the tube should have a neglible effect on the incidence of theft.
You're probably right sp, when I used to go to work by tube a few years ago, no one got anything out of their bag except a book or a paper, then the bag was firmly lodged underarm incase someone tried to snatch it.
