A stunningly good bottle of vintage fizz - probably actually worth the current asking price, but I bought a case a year or so ago for about £20 per bottle (smug, smug)

From here, the Chablis Prem Cru I had was, well too oaky, almost American. Still have 1/2 bottle in fridge if you want to know which to avoid.
Morador, Fairtrade Malbec, Sainsburys £5-99 down from 8. Dark berry fruit, slightly jammy and pleasant. A little of the rosemary thing I tend to get from Malbec too. Big tannins in this one, could do with a bit more balance but perhaps the young age. It's a nice Malbec and good for the price.
Errazuriz, Merlot, Chile same as above and the price and discount. Not as good - not balanced, taste of platiscine in it, wine closed - then there is cream, too much tannin and too much acid. This is a poor wine that tastes of pretty much nothing. Avoid
Piccini, Memoro, Tuscany Italy £6-49 (down from £9-49) Tesco Fruit forward, almost a bit jammy, nicely robust, showing some oak and good exotic spices.Decent acidity and balance.Actually very good considering the low price. Buy....serious.

Despite their hostility re the Falklands, the Argies do have some good wines, Dave. If you ever get the chance to try a 2008 Mendel 'Unus'
Malbec, grab it, its superb - it's not cheap (somewhere around £25 - I can have a look for you)
2008 Decero Remolinos Vineyard Malbec and the 2009 Noemia A Lisa Malbec are very good ones, more in the £12 to 15 range.....
