Ok, 6:15 this morning I staggered downstairs to give Smoke his breakfast & trod in the remains of a dead mouse. Why can't he eat all of the %^*%* thing instead of just half of it?

One of my tiny tigers used to leave rabbit heart, or ears, or both....under the stairs...like a satanic ritual...

mine used to bring in little bunnies ..stretch them out on the rug in the lounge and grin with pride at his presentation !!!

Basil likes to bring in the occasional squirrel's tail. Not sure what he does with the rest of the squirrel. But I know what you mean about the yucky mouse remains, Messalina. There seems to be one bit that cats don't particularly like to eat.

Thing is, Kiki, he seems to change his mind with each mouse. Some he leaves the head, others the tail & occasionally just a lone paw. Thank god we have no rabbits around & he's never yet managed to get a squirrel. I think the city squirrels are too street wise for him.
