I don't think i've heard that song before but that was excellent... I really do like your voice! The wee giggle at the end reminded me of Joni Mitchell doing Big Yellow Taxi as well!! :D

Excellent cover, Laura, and as they say on Britain's Got Talent, "It's 1000% yes from me!" The weird thing was I had this song stuck in my head all day yesterday and then I came on here and saw your post! Mind you, I do have The Coasters' original version among my old record collection. More recently, I remember Robert Downey Jr lip-syncing to the song in the film "The Singing Detective". Love to hear more of your stuff... How about Joni Mitchell's "Big Yellow Taxi" as mentioned a few posts back by erin-x? Now I've got that song stuck in my head! :)

During the 'mod' revival of the late 70's and early 80's, a band called The Lambrettas had a hit with this song.

Originally by the Coasters a song by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller who wrote many of Elvis's early hits in his best days. Great songwriters.
