This is how to follow up a multi-million selling album... :-)

so, so sad.
I met him once when he was boarding an aircraft. He swanned through the business class cabin in his nifty black suit and polo neck, upstaging all the business class passengers on his way to first class. He was a cool dude.
Very jealous of you right now 237SJ....would love to have even seen one of the Bee Gees in the flesh!
I fall into a strange age group [am 42] where I was never really 'into' them but looking back they were a major part of my 'youth'.
It makes me so sad to think of what Robin and his family are going through right now, it looks like it is his time to say good bye and I for one will mourn his passing.
My thoughts are with his family :0(

Divegirl, it wasn`t that long ago. Well, five years or so. It`s quite shocking to see the images of him now compared to then. I`m like you too - 40s so I don`t remember their first flush of success but they became a part of my life with the Saturday Night Fever phase.
Hi Lisa,

I'm five years older than you, and I'm afraid it's only going to get worse in terms of the death of our musical heroes. That of Rick Wright (Pink Floyd keyboard player) a few years ago affected me profoundly, as he was (and remains - his music lives on, of course!) the biggest influence on my own playing...
Oh I dunno, the Rolling Stones are still alive and kicking :-)
Bryan Jones isn't, or haven't you heard of him...?
Of course I have.
My prayers and thoughts are with him and his family. May he find peace.
he has said that his illness is karma for the success he has had...well i would say that he is wrong [but in a nice way]...he has only brought happiness and joy to millions of people...
I remember seeing him on 'Who do you think you are'...I think it was las year, dont know when it was recorded, but then, thinking, how gaunt he looked.
Did'nt know then that he has had a lot of medical problems...don't keep track of people.

Again, though, so sad, for him and his family, all the tragedies they have had.
Thoughts are with him and his family.

Mark Rae........wait until you reach 68, then you will have a lot more of you're
musical heroes disappear....either naturally, or drug induced. xx
