I'd never before considered that tax operates in 'seasons'. I suppose it must be similar to 'shooting season', 'festive season' or even 'bitch in season'.

I would have thought that the do's and dont's for a business would be to have a good accountant, therefore not requiring either a list or getting familiar with any terms. Let the accountant panic !
