I have just got broadband. I am using standard white cable through filter to broadband modem. I get 60kbs 45 feet from main socket, my son gets 145kbs 15 feet from main socket. on 512 provedr. Question: will a high speed, sealed broadband cable improve my transfer speed by much, or at all, am I wasting twenty pounds?

You would be better putting the �20 towards getting a telephone engineer to install a proper telephone socket near to where you have got the broadband modem.

id love to know how ur son is getting 145 kbs from a 51 kbs bb connection ? even 60kbs is above average.
