Photocopying Problem

I'm having trouble trying to photocopy - it won't. I can print from the internet ok, ink cartridges have plenty in them and no problem with paper feed. Have tried turning the printer off and restarting, but nothing. The printer makes all the right noises and the paper starts to move, then it stops and the ink cartridge moves back an forth as though it was printing, at this point I stop it. Any help would be much appreciated as it's driving me mad!

Let me guess what printer/scanner you've got and are you doing this on a standalone system, or on a pc and what O/S????
