Regrettably we are led time and time again into wars by politicians who aren't the ones who go out and face the bullets (at least the kings and lords a few hundred years ago faced the enemy themselves). But looking back half a century later, or however long it may be, and saying that all the ordinary people should be castigated for what happened then is useless. It is sad that Patrick Moore has harboured such bitterness for so long against people who are blameless.
