Fireworks should be BANNED, Full Stop, they cause NOTHING but trouble, If the Goverment can't ban them completely, then they should be sold ONLY to Organised events Holders that have a Licence to use them, They are all too easy to buy, Im sickened by the recent news of the Barn Fire in Bury in which a Horse died, this fire was started by Thugs playing with Fireworks. The Barn from what I can gather was a Home for Neglected horses, one horse, the last horse out suffered extensive Burns, and died a day later, the other 4 or 5 horses are suffering terribly. I cannot and will NEVER understand why these dangerous items have never been banned to the Public , however pretty they may be they are a BIG DANGER to People and Animals , those Thugs that caused this unnecessary suffering should recieve the same treatment. Im disgusted .

There is a question in Animals and Nature and the person seems very distressed by all this. My own dog has just peed on the carpet because she is too scared to go outside. 10clarionst, Has someone done something to you in the past to make you lose all feelings for everyone except yourself. Your argument has gone way beyond that of what people think about their animals. You don't seem to like people very much either. I for one will be glad when the bl***y things are over.

Quite simply, it doesn't end, not for as long as fireworks are on sale to the general public. For as long as there are yobs and irresponsible people around, fireworks will always be dangerous. The only answer is to ban them from public sale and only allow genuine display artists with proper pyrotechnic handling training should be allowed. The public display in Glasgow on Saturday night went off without incident, yet elsewhere in Glasgow no less than 7 major incidents occured resulting in 19 arrests for property damage, arson and assaulting Fire Brigade officers, to me that is totally unacceptable and is a compelling reason for banning fireworks and passing new laws for arresting people for letting them off in the street. I trust that this post is not too incitive for you AB ed!
And why is it nearly 3 weeks after Guy Fawkes night am I still hearing these damn things being let off. As I understood it, the fireworks were supposed to stop after bonfire night.
