Tulips

A friend brought the OH some flowers a couple of days ago and the selection included tulips.

Sadly the tulips started to droop quickly, we were told to drop a 2p piece in the vase.

Eureka, it worked, Tulipii erectus.

The same can't be said for dropping a 2p piece down the underpants!

I have been told that to stop tulips from drooping, this can be done by piercing the stem just below the head with a pin.
I have not tried this yet.
