hello a football argument last night in the local---- who if any were the last team to lose a european cup (champs league) final on their own ground (not their own country )

As far as I am aware it was the 1984 European Cup Final between Liverpool and Roma held on Roma's Home Ground Stadio Olympico.
The Match ended 1-1 but Liverpool won the Penalty shootout 4-2.

Redman is correct but before this years final home advantage has only happened 3 times,when Liverpool won in Rome and in 1957 & 1965.
Real Madrid won in 1957 at the Bernabéu and Inter Milan won at the San Siro in 1965.
