Looked for your "DT WOZ 'ERE" tee shirt today in Cornwall on TV :) - were you there DT? Enjoyed looking at all our favourite holiday places this morning bathed in lovely sunshine while we had miserable drizzle :(
Great to see Ben Ainslie as 001 runner, he is brilliant.
One question I am puzzled about - did they take the flame by foot all the way through Cornwall to Plymouth in just one day? or were there stretches where it was transported by car? It seems a lot way to cover in one day?
the latter - think it was first run to Marazion, bridged to Helston, then to Redruth, bridged to Famouth and then to Truro, arriving 12.30, then bridged to Newquay, bridged to Bodmin, and then to St A - not sure further east of that.
It was going to be convoyed over the Tamar but there was a mighty hoo-haa over that and the organisers relented as late as Thursday on that and had it run over.....needed its passport of course.
