I need some help.

I now fend for myself and I'm not sure how long I will survive on eating chicken or tuna sandwiches for dinner.

I need some simple recipe ideas. The problem is I am ultra fussy! It's pretty much just textures of foods I have a problem with, for example I like the taste of mushrooms but I can't stand the feel of eating one, it makes me want to throw up. On the plus side, I don have a hand blender. :)

I don't have a freezer so anyting I make has to be from fridge/cupboard stuffs and leftovers that don't need freezing.

Any ideas? My Dad will ask me soon what I've been eating and he always knows when I'm lying :)

Oh, without, It may be too complicated for me with them.
Of course some might say I have forgotten the butter but no, I toast my bread twice . I let it cool and go crispy, then reward it just before I pour on the beans/tomatoes/spaghetti . (I never mention that because it can get a bit complicated)
I'm getting naffed off with this iPad spelling corrections that are not needed :0(

Re-warm
Pasta, soup, curry, chillie...stuff you can make in batches and freeze :0) xxxx

Some wonderful advice here.

I want to try holding off from getting a freezer as it will look out of place in my lovely kitchen. :)

Mick, some truelly appetising suggestions there. Just one question, when you say "toast the bread", is that was that silver box type thing on the kitchen side is for? I haven't looked too much but I'm not sure I'd get a whole loaf of bread in there...
Bad advice IMO Pasta, she would fill it will ready meals. (I'mnot having a dig Evan ) i don't think a single person needs a freezer, stick to a fridge and fresh food.

I'm a single person-(an old one,mind you ;-0)-and I have a freezer.
Where do you think I put the fresh meat I stock up on. Evian may not enjoy the constant shopping that's needed to keep fresh meat/chicken on hand.

Maybe I should start living on toast....
I'm pro having a freezer for a single person.

Spend an afternoon at the weekend knocking up chicken casserole, curry, chilli, ragu, soup etc following recipes to feed four, divide them into individual portions and you've got handy, healthy and economical homemade ready meals.
Since everyone is talking about freezers - have you thought about trying to get one on Freecycle or Freegle?

I haven't looked anywhere for a freezer because I don't really want one..

Although my Ben and Jerrys caramel sutra icecream didn't survive in the fridge as well as I had hoped it would.

I actually think mick is right in regards to me at least, it would end up just filled with ice cream and chips. Plus I really don't want an ugly freezer sitting in my kitchen (the fridge is built into the cupboard).

Perhaps if I could find a really small one that I could just fit into a cupboard I'd get one.
I keep my freezer upstairs in the box room....so you don't really need to have it cluttering up your kitchen...lol

We'll be happy to advise you on freezer purchases when the time comes. (It's early days yet...you'll want that ice cream to last a bit better come July ;-)))
Look for a boy/girl friend who cooks - worked for me many years ago.

Mind you, I did learn to cook eventually, and impressed a girl so much with a scratch omelette that we celebrated our 25th last year <]:-)
Seriously, what is it about textures you don't like - is it crunchiness, or things with "bits" in?

Lots of fresh fruit wouldn't hurt for a start, and needs no cooking. a dish of fruit would impress Dad no end...

Pasta with tuna or sliced and fried chicken bits are easy & good. Cook in sauces are worth exploring.

There are some decent boil in the bag meals in the supermarkets.
