If you could sing, would you feel proud to sing for your country?

I would just be to embarrassed for our country and decline any offer.

Howard, I couldn't hold a tune in a basket!! Shall I join you on Rockall?
I would be guaranteed to clear the Stockholm City Hall, the g
the good news being that at least the Eurowaste would not be returning to Britain; indeed we may even be banned.
Not a chance there was no way I'd do it. And the general public do get to vote for the song we do.
Poor Englebert must be so embarrassed after all the hype of the past few weeks! It wasn't his fault, its all political - we were actually predicting the top votes as they were coming in - I bet nobody listens to the songs anyway! It proves one thing - nobody in Europe like us - but they all want to come and live over here .................... :))
How many people here, if they were abroad, would not vote for the UK on principle? In the main it isn't political voting but simply biased voting. And it happens all over Europe. Last time I checked Sweden, Germany and Norway, all v recent winners, were in western Europe
the way they handle it now, and the eastern countries sticking together - we could have the finest, most popular and gifted singer on the planet representing us - and we'd still lose

Anna, " nobody in Europe like us - but they all want to come and live over here"

All of them ? Do they? I don't think so!
"Like us/".....nothing to do with that.....an inappropriate choice of song sung by an OAP.....c'mon, i wouldn't vote for that and i am English.

Totally agree Sqad out dated and dreadful, is the song selection committee all over 80 years of age?
Sorry but the 'eastern European countries sticking together' thing is a red herring. Even if it were true how does that work against the UK? I agree that aspects of the voting are predictable, boringly and annoyingly so, but who actually won in the end? I felt v sorry for Engelbert. He deserved better but performing an old fashioned ballad, first off, did for him. Wasn't it Norway or Denmark who actually came last tho? What is there for Europe to dislike about those countries? Anti-Scandinavian? Oh hang on, Sweden won! Maybe the expat voters of Norway and Engkand were too busy watching the footie :-)
