noise pollution
Hi there,
i leave near a pub who play music very loudly until 2,3 and sometime 4 o'clock in the morning
This time last year this pub has served 4 notice by the noise pollution team.
despite all the complain from me and others people the comity licencing( wish form of local Councillor) renewed their licence .
I really need some help ,I went to see the doctor for stress related to this matter as i can no longer concentrate or sleep well. it has been going on for 4 years now .
I was given a copy of their licence and is clear says that music should be played from 10:00hr to 23H00hr Monday to Sunday- but the music always start at 23h00 and goes on until late morning
thanks
Need help please

The DPS is personally responsible for making sure the licence conditions are being kept to. So write to the DPS by recorded delivery and send a copy to the brewery if it is a brewery owned pub and a copy to the police and the council licencing authority.
I can't see how a pub that has had 4 noise abatement notices served can still be granted a licence , but as I said it is the DPS who is the one who is responsible for breaches of the licence. I am a DPS myself so I know what I am talking about , I can be fined £50,000 and put in jail for 6 months if my premises breach the licence conditions.
Write to the local paper as well they love stories like this and may well investigate.

Does your local council have a team to deal with noise and nuisance? Something like this?

If they're licence is from 1000-2300 but the music starts at 2300 and goes on all night, they're most likely selling alcohol outside of licensed hours too.
If you kick up enough of a stink with the council and police, and I mean sending a letter to EVERYONE every day and several phone calls to EVERYONE every day, they will get fed up with you badgering them and will get off their arses and put a stop to this nuisance, ie do their jobs.
If that still doesn't work you can always play dirty....
