Rhino products, tiger products and bear bile plus other animal products are openly on sale in China and other eastern countries. Surely there is no place for this in our world today.
i cannot watch most nature programmes now, where so many animals are disappearing at an alarming rate. And the idiot people who think that Rhino horn is some sort of cure all should be ashamed of themselves. That goes for anyone who buys goods from chinese shops, as they do contain many of these illicit ingredients. Education is needed, but will we be told to mind our own business. When the last tiger, lion, rhino is gone let's hope they are satisfied. Make me bloody angry.
It is disgusting, but the slaughter isn't confined to China. Today, the Badger Trust lost it's case at the courts to prevent the badger cull. These protected animals are now to be culled in england and I am sure many of these persecuted animals will meet excrutiating deaths at the hands of bloodthirsty farm associates. And in the UK, they still hunt wild mammals with hounds for fun.
That's a great shame, jedimistress - I still don't believe there's a link with bovine TB.
Regarding overseas - I agree with O-G, it's the suffering the animals go through which concerns me, just to meet human greed. Dancing bears is the other topic, but where do you draw the line, poor people who drive their donkeys until they drop - the list is still endless.
That is a pity about the badgers. We also have problems with people and their donkeys andhorses being driven into the ground but spca and other animal trusts are trying to educate people and they provide correct harnessing. Most of these people o rely on their animals for transport they are very greatful for the help given and the knowlegde on how to look after them The difference is between complete ignorance and just human greed and cruelty.
