And About Time Too
-What do you think of Birmingham's proposed ( building in progress ) new rail station ?
How does it compare to the major stations in your neck of the woods ?
Any brummies on here ?

The existing station was a typical 1970s built building, similar to many bulidings of that age (not just stations) that are all over the country. But they have all dated very badly.
I actualy dont like all the "silver", I think it looks a bit naff.
But they are opening the roof to let light in so it will finish up looking like a modern airport terminal.
They are also building a new John Lewis as part of the station, and this will be the largest outside London.
I do actualy live on the edge of Birmingham (Solihull) and often go up there taking pictures of all the buildings, old and new.
There is a web site called Skyscraper City where building projects all over the world are discussed, and there is a section for the West Midlands, and even a topic for New St station.
I sometimes post my pictures on there.
Here is a link to the New St station topic.
