I rang their helpline and was told that BT and Tiscali are 'undergoing negotiations'. Does this mean I'm likely to lose my ISP? I'm a tad concerned. Does anyone know what's REALLY going on?

Sorry I can't really answer your question but I'm having problems sending emails to anyone with a Tiscali address. I'll keep an eye on this thread to see if anyone else is having the same problems.
Tiscali have been having financial difficulties for over a year. They sold off parts of the company last year to try to stay afloat and it was announced this morning that they'd sold back XOIP (their internet phone service) to XOIP's original managers. It should be noted, however, that this announcement came from XOIP and not from Tiscali. The press pages on Tiscali's website seem strangely devoid of any recent press releases.

If Tiscali's own support lines are suggesting that they can't maintain their financial relationship with BT, then I doubt that they'll be around for much longer. Sorry!

don't quite understand ; tiscali seem to be expanding , and are merging all their activities across europe [ they are italian] under one brand name ALICE ; this has certainly caused problems!!
