This is about 12 miles away but it's the VERY BEST accommodation I've ever stayed in (anywhere in the world!):

It's got the comfiest beds, the softest towels (loads and loads of them!), the biggest range of complimentary toiletries and just about every other 'little luxury' that you might want. The tea and coffee making facilities aren't just limited to the usual Nescafe and PG Tips; there are a whole range of teas and coffees supplied. Further, you even get complimentary wine in your room!
Breakfast has to be pre-ordered the evening before (specifying the time that you'd like to be served) but that's only so that your scrambled eggs with smoked salmon (for example) can be served to perfection.
It takes around 20 to 25 minutes to get into heart of Brighton (or you could simply drive to Burgess Hill station and take the train for a 14 minute journey). There's some on-site car parking (with no problems parking in the street anyway), in a very pleasant area of Burgess Hill.
