I have a Humax PVR. I can't specify the model number but it is a couple of years old now. It has a button on the remote specifically for radio channels, which I never use because the TV is also Freeview and if I want the radio I just use that.

Anyway I just checked and yes you get the programme guide as with the telly and yes you can record radio, including series linking.

thankyou so much for the prompt reply and for checking, that was very kind of you i will be looking up humax machines now xx
Definitely yes. It has always puzzled me that while for the past 40 years there have been home-based devices to record TV, there was no such similar thing for radio. Digital programming has changed all that. Now the working woman can come home and listen to Woman's Hour at teatime.
Radio recording ok with me as well, I'm using a Toshiba.
