Spring Plants/Bulbs

Anyone know of any Springtime plants/bulbs/tubers that prefer ericaceous compost please? I have two bags of the stuff I'd rather use up before Winter comes.....

Lilies are the most obvious example of bulbs that like acid soil, though perhaps not strictly Spring bulbs. Almost none of them are happy in non-acid soil. Can't offhand think of true Spring bulbs though crocus won't object to ericaceous. You could always mix it with other soil of course

cyclamen, crocus, wood anemone, snakeshead fritiliary dogstooth violet....all the woodland bulbs. I have an ericaceous tub with camellias in underplanted with crocusses, miniature daffodils, wild primroses and miniature cyclamen that does very well.

Regarding spring plants - camellias, azaeleas and Rhodedendrons all prefer this kind of soil or compost and you can grow all these in pots too.

Thanks all- you've given me food for thought.....I think I have a medium sized container unused in my garage.....That'll use up the ericaceous!
