Taking all outside factors out of this equation, there is practically NO REASON whatsoever for any 30 year old man to hit a woman of 81.

The sentence will be limited, but I'd suggest 2/3 years would let him reflect on what he has done. I'm surprised he hasn't played the race card in mitigation?

Having said that, if he had been racially abused then I would knock ten minutes off that. That's not to excuse racism in any way, just to make my point about anyone hitting an 81 year old woman.

even if an 81yr old woman hit him first, there is no justification in hitting her back, imho - he caused her 'serious facial injuries! she should lose her license if she was driving that badly, but he should certainly have the book thrown at him for such an appalling attack. he looks like a thug.

its a built up area and she was being cautious over speed bumps
if he was that late then surely he shouldnt have stopped to punch her.

There is absolutely no excuse for anyone to hit an old lady. So what if she was driving slowly? Yes it's frustrating for anyone following her, but for heavens sake, why is everyone in such a blimmin rush these days? Obviously not this charming character, as he saw fit to, instead of taking the opportunity to make up for lost time when he got the chance, stopped his car and took time out of his seiously overloaded schedule to assault an old lady who he saw as standing in his way. What a cretin. I hope they throw the book at him.
