Series 10 of Red Dwarf starts at 9pm on Dave, 4th October.
The show has a pretty big cult following and I have to admit to enjoying the programme alot.
But how did a shoe string budget, extremely corny BBC comedy show capture such a big fan base?
Because it was fun, absurdly stupid, written with a great deal of skill and apart for a few longer threads weaving through the narrative, a different sort of daftness each week. Only my opinion, 'Moke me a Skipper'
Because it was great, at least prior to the writers splitting. The characters were developed, it was actually funny without cracking the exact same joke each episode. Even if there were running themes.
Will have to tune it to see what they've done with it but given the special wasn't all that, and the fact the actors will have aged (and thus their characters) I'm unsure whether they'll be hitting the heights. Still, we shall find out.
If you've seen that ad, did you notice how the bristles of the scorched sweeping brush magically reappear. Course it is probably just the time vortex swirling about, possibly.
