It was interesting to hear a lot of reaction from Americans who agree that Romney (perhaps unsurprisingly) looked the livelier and hungrier (more desperate perhaps) but who don't seriously consider that he will win the election. Which was reassuring at least.

Blair a lame duck? He won three consecutive general elections outright. So far Cameron hasn't even won one such victory!
Having said that - and re Gromit's earlier post above - I was thinking more of Clegg in respect of providing a good TV debate performance followed by proving disastrous in 'action'.
Let's hope the Americans aren't naive enough to give Romney the opportunity to do the same!
