Their is porn and filth just about everywhere, most often you would have to seek it out - for it to suddenly appear on your facebook page would be most odd.
It needs removing as soon as it is discovered on any social networking site.

I was searching for someone on facebook and clicked on someones pictures in order to see if it was them I found some rather disturbing images of children, I reported it straight away, shocking stuff!

First of all - in my opinion, there is no such thing as child porn. We should be calling it images of child abuse. Porn is a different thing altogether.

Secondly, if you do come across anything offensive or illegal or plain obscene on FB you report it and hopefully is removed quickly.

Sadly there are a lot of weirdos on FB setting up fake campaigns that serve no purpose at all. Of course all of us hate cancer, child abuse, famine, war etc, etc, but clicking "like" on a social network site will not stop any of it.

Well that's just it, Cazz... FB will be policed by the vast majority of decent people who if seeing anything untoward will report it.

What help would being a member of 'let's rid facebook of blah blah' be?

Would members contact the other members and say ..
' hey look at these images I have stumbled upon ' ?

countries everywhere are doing their best to ban child porn from the internet altogether. It's illegal. I imagine FB will be the least of their worries.

Another good reason to steer clear of FB IMO, so-called "social networking" sites have little or no censor controls in place, and joining these "causes" MAY be an invite to any weirdo on the net.
