Finally sense is prevailing and the true victims are being recognized. What a shame the lunatics (in the form of hand wringing liberals) took over in the first place.

Is it a drug addict, has he got a knife or a gun, or just a mere intruder entering my property to help himself?
I must get the first blow in to disable him as if i don't i am the one that gets "disabled."
What can i use, a gun, a golf club, a baseball bat............anything to either scare him off or disable him...........I couldn't care which.
Will my wife be safe.....the kids.......?
My interpretation is that the "new ruling" will give me greater support from the law in protecting my property and family.
This is the debatable and confusing aspect, but in my opinion it is at least veering in the right direction.

Well, sqad and octavius, when the time comes you'll need the Homicide Act 1957 section 2 (abnormality of mind; perhaps not) and section 3 (provocation; if the jury hears evidence that the accused was provoked, by things said or done, to lose his self-control, it is for the jury to decide whether a reasonable man would have done what the accused did, kill)
Those are 'diminished responsibility'.
Any sentence may be passed, from conditional disharge up; bad news if the judge thinks the jury were daft to accept the defence, good news if the judge thinks you were, near as a dammit, perfectly entitled to kill the lover, son or daughter, or both.. You never know !
