i thought the idea was no Turkey?
Avocado and crayfish tails followed by Roast Beef, roast potatoes, fine green beans, broccolli, proper gravy, then fresh fruit salad and then cheese, cheese and more cheese. A selection including Cheshire, Brie, Stillton, Wensleydale, Smoked Apple etc. etc. Selection of wines (nothing sweet) real coffee and a decent Scotch.
Oops! Forgot the Yorkshire Pudding.
Alas on a low fat low cholesterol diet. Good job it is only an ideal!
right then snags, I'll bring the scooby snacks, what time's kick-off?
All I really really want is champagne Louis Roderer. of course
Same as Snags... but I want my Santa dancing
this is for special occasion

oh thank you em, are we having that?
we are, several bottles, haven't had this for some years, but we should push the boat out.
I'll go halfers, booking my flight now
I've been sat here trying to remember the last time I had turkey on Christmas day and I think it might have been 30 odd yrs ago!
I haven't had it since I lived at home.
i don't like Turkey all that much, want a total change. My ideal meal would be a mixed seafood barbecue, on a secluded beach with some friends in New Zealand or other friends in Australia. Langoustine, dublin bay prawns, with a nice cold crate of beer.
as said before, can't beat wonderful Lincolnshire or Cumberland sausages, and good mash, made with double cream, delicious.
Have you tried the Charles Heisdick, sibbo, not the Piper-H...........really nice and far more intense (but balanced) than the Louis R
Any type of seafood! YUM!
We're having Steak and kidney pudding one day, and a Waitrose three game-bird roast on one of the other days we're off work.
Lancashire Hotpot ,Black Pudding to start Grandpa Greens ice cream for afters
