I made these last night and figured it'd be rude not to share.
Called 'Slutty Brownies' because they're oh so easy and more than a little bit filthy...

YOU WILL NEED:
1 box of cookie mix
1 box of brownie mix
2 eggs
2 packs of Oreos
Oil
Green & Blacks organic vanilla ice cream (optional - but delish!)

Preheat your oven to 350°F, 180°C, gas mark 4.
Line a baking tray with grease proof paper.
Follow the instructions on the cookie mix box & stir furiously until you have gooey cookie dough, I usually add a little extra water and oil to what they suggest, it just keeps it moist as you'll be baking it for longer than suggested. An extra teaspoon of each is just right.

Squidge the cookie dough into a lined baking tray, until it covers the bottom.

Cover this layer with your Oreos. Don't use the broken ones, eat them! :-)

Mix up the brownie mix, by following the instructions on the box, and pour it all over the layer of Oreos.

Bake for 30 minutes...

Remove from the oven and leave to cool.
When its still a little bit warm, use the paper to lift your creation out of the tray and rest it on a chopping board.
Sieve on a bit of icing sugar and then use a large, sharp knife to cut it into manageable chunks.

Lush on their own, but even nicer served warm, with vanilla ice cream...

They take around 45 minutes to make, which includes baking time, and are WELL worth it. Heaven on a plate!

Shurrup they are lush! lol
as advised I'll give it a miss then, ta op
naaahhh...I'm not crazy (well not too much)...But I grew up with Oreos-and they taste rank to me now-very artificial. And-I'm not a fan of mixes-made from scratch is much better.

lol Fair enough.
Yeah, absolutely. Made from scratch would be much, much better. However, it's all about the easiness of these... hence the name ;-)
sounds wonderful but i am curious....being here in the states, how many grams in each pack of oreos??? and was it a vanilla cookie mix or a choc cookie mix? how big a package? best regards from the states and thanks for sharing!!!!
I will stick to my dark choc brownies with fudge chunks and caramel soak...
Recipe please rowan! : )
i use the brownie recipe from the usbournes first cookery book (for kids) -it uses cocoa powder instead of chocolate and they are fool proof -come out crisp on top and gooey in the middle every time -and are far easier to make than the above recipe -melt butter and sugar in the microwave -add eggs & vanilla essence then flour cocoa chopped nuts and bung in the oven -yum
will post it later when I have a bit more time
I can't stand Oreos either - far too synthetic. But Bourbon biscuits might make a good alternative
Another cheeky wee recipe with Oreos as follows:
Mix a tub of Philidelphia cheese with 200grams of crushed oreos ( add more to get a maleable consistency. Roll the mixture into bite size balls and arrange on a tray. Put the tray in the fridge to cool and set the balls, drizzle soem melted white chocolate over them.....they are heavenly!!
