How do I get my fotos from my digital camera on to my PC?

Thx everyone for yr advice. I now have my fotos on my PC! Yippee! Right - next job. Sort printer out before Downton Abbey starts! Back to June - here I go!

Hi michaelzz, Finally got fotos onto PC. Never mind how cos now my printer only has the colour on print outs and not the black print even tho' the cartridge is full. I've tried a different black cartridge and the same thing is happening. If they're inserted incorrectly, the green light flashes but it's not flashing. ????

What happens when you try to print a black and white document (or B&W photo)?
Have you printed a test sheet?
Also have you been through the printer toolbox rigmarole to clean the cartdiges?

Hi michaelZZ, When I print a black & white document, nothing is on the sheet! The test page comes out in colour only and, yes, I've cleaned the cartridges and gone thru all the suggested 'stuff' as suggested by HP.

A few more questions, I'm afraid!
Has your printer been idle for some time - or have the cartridges been out of the printer for an extended period?

One thing that my HP instructions say is don't remove both the colour and the black cartridges together. Replace them one at a time. (No, I don't know why!)

Hi michaelZZ, (I was just going to turn off pC & go to bed - can't wait for the night mares!) No, my printer hasn't been idle - I'm forever printing of dialogues for an Am Dram society! The first cartridge I put in was purchased from Printer basics of which I always get from. (Bad grammar) I then put one (or two) older retained one's in with no luck. I removed the colour one about 20 mins ago then reinserted it. I'm beginning to think the interior of the printer is faulty.
