The Email that was accidentally sent to the 'Bride To BE' read:

/// ‘Hi Carlo, I need your advice on this wedding, I know this probably doesn’t sound very nice, but I am trying to put this wedding off as I don’t think they are the type of people that we would want to have at Stoke Park.’ ///

'the arrogance of the 'Left' - have you listened to the Conservative politicians lately AOG?
"Those words of yours:

"EVERYONE ELSE IS MISTAKEN IN A WAY THAT IS INTELLECTUALLY CREDIBLE",

are a typical example of the arrogance of the 'Left', who constantly assume that it is only their views that are the ones that are intellectually credible."

By 'intellecutally credible', I just mean using an argument with sound logic and good supporting evidence - i.e. one which is consistent with the standards all arguments need to adhere to in order to be considered valid. That's not something I've ever seen you do.

" it is never a level playing field simply because it is overwhelmingly occupied by 'Left' thinking individuals. "

What are you talking about? You can enter a question just like anyone else can - in fact your questions constitute a huge proportion of all the questions posted in the News section, and on average get more attention. Is that 'level' enough for you? Or will it only be 'level' enough when the majority of posters agree with you?

I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't criticise the things you say because I think they're right wing. I do it because I think they're badly argued. Personally, I don't like to identify with 'left' or 'right' wing because I don't think they're particularly good ways to categorize how people think.

The reason I entered my post was that you accused other ABers of being 'Sheep', and posed yourself as a 'one man guy' who 'always faces his adversaries'.

Even if we cast aside the fact that you seem to have completely ignored several posters on your own thread, I think it's worth pointing out that it's really easy to present oneself in such a way, but actually forming independent opinions with logic and insight is something I don't think I've ever seen you do.
OH NO....... i was going to book this place for a wedding anniversary. maybe Carlo neads to ensure his staff know how to send e mails ?

For a change, it is not politicians who are under discussion here andy.
AOG

This question was poorly thought out and you have ignored the very credible responses (eg II_billym's).

Have you read the posts from the right-wingers on here AOG?

/// one which is consistent with the standards all arguments need to adhere to in order to be considered valid. That's not something I've ever seen you do. ///

That is because on this site one is expected to enter a question or view, that is 'consistent with the 'standards all arguments need to adhere to', (according to the 'Left').

All others are null and void, and are deemed only worthy of abuse, insults and false accusations.

/// What are you talking about? You can enter a question just like anyone else can ///

It has nothing to do with being allowed to enter a question, and well you know it, but it is a matter that because my questions and views differ from most on this site, then that is the reason that they are not given a level playing field.

/// I don't like to identify with 'left' or 'right' wing because I don't think they're particularly good ways to categorize how people think. ///

But then Kromovaracun you have always sat yourself down firmly on the fence haven't you, perhaps you should be strong enough to come out of your political closet and admit your 'Leftness'?

/// Even if we cast aside the fact that you seem to have completely ignored several posters on your own thread ///

It is obvious to anyone with a normal amount of intelligence that one cannot individually answer every poster on a thread, but at least I do not enter a thread that is not only not a question, but a thread that you, yourself never took part in yourself.

I am of course referring to this gem;

Interesting????????? Yawn

Enjoy????????????? I don't think so.

So perhaps before you criticise others you should first get off that fence and stand back and take a good look at yourself?

There a very few to read Andy, the few that do post are generally reported by certain Left-Wingers for daring to speak their minds, and they are then sometimes removed before others have had a chance to read what they have said.

"But then Kromovaracun you have always sat yourself down firmly on the fence haven't you, perhaps you should be strong enough to come out of your political closet and admit your 'Leftness'?"

Nope, I don't feel like I sit on many fences - I just don't accept that 'Left' and 'Right' wing are particularly good ways to categorize how people think about politics, so I choose not to identify with them. If you have a problem with that, then... well, I don't care.

And yes, I did submit a question two years ago about something I personally found interesting and just thought other people in News might also find interesting (and some did). Why exactly is it relevant?

"but it is a matter that because my questions and views differ from most on this site, then that is the reason that they are not given a level playing field. "

So you think it's unfair that less people agree with you, then?

Why do you think it is that people disagree with you? Could it possibly be that you don't support your arguments very well? Could it be that you never engage with people who point out flaws in what you're saying?

These all seem like far more likely options than the PC conspiracy theory you seem to have concocted that the Uber-Leftist Brigade is out to somehow silence you by arguing with you over an internet forum.

"It is obvious to anyone with a normal amount of intelligence that one cannot individually answer every poster on a thread"

You could answer the ones that provide evidence or arguments directly relevant to your question though. Or the ones that challenge your views. But that'd be too hard, wouldn't it?
Interesting that you think that the few right wingers get their posts suppressed, aog. Are you suggesting that the Editors are left wing or sympathisers with the left ?
aog - i am interested in these 'removed' posts - how do you see them to know they are removed?

I spend far more time on this site than you do, and I dont seem to see posts before they are removed - so how do you manage it - is someone monitoring for you while you are not here?
